Ruffling Feathers
I made this documentary in late 2015 while I was living in Melbourne. It follows the story of the amazing Madelaine Scott, a young organic egg farmer from in rural Victoria.
Madelaine has a wonderful story - she started her egg business when she was just 8 years old as part of her home schooling. It went on to become her passion and she now supplies thousands of eggs to Melbourne's community each week.
But she still faces many challenges, as a farmer, entrepreneur and mother - especially in comparison to her urban peers. Watch the film to find out how she overcomes them and becomes an inspiration to young people around the country.
It was a great pleasure to get to know Madelaine while making this doc, and I hope to stay in touch with her forever, and keep eating her super tasty eggs!
You can keep up to date with Madelaine's farm here.
This film was made for NCDFREE and festival21.
